Peep beyond Neville\'s hall door
Neville Norte presented his unique view of the art of interior design to Mary osolevin denizin in Boyle town.
One of their oldest stores is about to be renovated, and the designer is nothing but Ireland\'s answer to Lawrence luelin Bowen.
This is Neville Nott, the new host of beyond the doors of the hall, which started showing up on our screen two weeks ago.
Of course, at this stage, they may be furious at Neville\'s work;
Hotel Rossini-
The born designer is a descendant of backdrop the family that owns Logan Nott\'s store, and since his time as a student, he has been doing the Christmas show (his father Logan and his brother Lionel allowed him to riot with the windows open ).
But the shop window was not the first experiment he designed;
It was at boarding school that his talent for interior design first appeared.
\"I started boarding school at the age of 11.
I hate every minute of it.
Art is the only thing I feel I am good at, and I am very involved in the design of the school drama.
I was also involved in the redesign of the common room for older boys.
I made an illusion on a wall.
I believe they did it last year.
It\'s like a brick wall with some bricks passing through and you can see the hills, mountains and lakes in the distance.
\"There, the outgoing interior design expert is clearly eager to go out and continue his life.
After leaving school, because he has always been more interested in the design aspect of art, rather than the art aspect of things, Neville went to the Dublin Institute of Technology at Monte joy square, there he chose to study the display design.
After that, he went to the UK to further qualify and then joined the display team in Switzerland.
When it became Brown Thomas, he stayed for a while before going to pursue his bachelor\'s degree;
He wants to focus on interior design.
\"I have always been fascinated by interior design.
My home is not an old house built by my father, but I always play in wonderful old houses and I love the architectural details and the period details.
\"He is now giving an indoor lecture at the Institute of Applied Arts at Monte Hoy square (and as a consultant to the clergy ).
\"I like teaching.
This is very similar to performing on TV.
I do the studio challenge on this project, and that\'s what I \'ve been doing to challenge students.
\"There is a saying that those who can do, those who can\'t teach, but Neville proves that this is not true.
As an interior designer, he needs a lot, but it is wall limited to only two large projects every year.
\"Because I only do two things, I make sure they are fun.
I was lucky, purely by word of mouth, that I could work on wonderful old buildings.
\"It\'s not that he doesn\'t like modern architecture.
In fact, Neville had his own home in his 20 s. year-
The old neighborhood of south Dublin is full of his own ideas.
\"I completely destroyed and redesigned the place.
I decided to buy an apartment in an old neighborhood because they were more spacious.
The day after I got the house, the builder moved in and it took about 12 weeks in total.
\"His goal was to open the whole space, so his favorite room, originally two rooms, the living room turned into one, except for the two bedrooms and the bathroom, he threw away all the doors.
His biggest investment was the Italian limestone flooring he laid anywhere in the bedroom, which added to the whole airy and spacious space.
\"It will cost a lot of money to lay cement, and the cement below will cost a lot of money, but it is worth it.
I love the look of it and you don\'t have to worry about stains as the heating underneath it is very warm.
I use it a lot in my project.
\"He also used limestone in the contemporary fireplace he designed, only this time it was Spanish limestone.
\"I think I \'ve done everything I can with limestone,\" he said with a smile . \".
He also did a lot backdrop of work on curves, especially in the design of the living room.
\"The curve at home is very good for you mentally.
Obviously, it goes back to the first thing we saw when we were born was the eyes of our mother.
I believe the curve very much and introduce it everywhere.
\"Therefore, the curves in the fireplace, window seat and TV unit are reflected in the curves he created on the ceiling.
\"One can introduce the curve in a variety of ways, with something as simple as a round or oval rug.
When I do a project, I often introduce a curve on the wall.
Just hate me.
\"Neville is also a very good person.
The corner from the living room is the lilac dining area, where the kitchen is.
There is a wall between the two, but in addition to having an entrance arch, the wall is broken by small niches and lit with embedded lighting, which increases the openness and intimacy of the space.
(Lighting is very important to inner Ville, he has lighting, lighters and hidden lighting everywhere.
) He also created a soft
Seat position on the radiator in the dining area.
\"It\'s a small space where people can have private conversations at parties, but break up if anyone --one comes.
\"Neville obviously likes mystery and intrigue.
He also liked the soft and soft colors and used them brilliantly around the apartment.
The hall is painted in five shades of yellow, from light yellow on the floor to almost mustard yellow on the top, with warm, bright, airy effects.
The living room is also very bright, partly because of large curved windows, but especially because of the clever use of colors.
The Italian limestone floor was warm white and he painted the wall with cream.
\"There are 3,000 creams.
I made it myself. I called it French vanilla.
I would like the room to be a blank canvas that is the background of my furniture and painting, some of which are antique and modern.
\"The most modern work is the feather and cream sofa of Minnie Peters.
\"I made it my own length so I could fall asleep on it.
Most of these antiques come from auctions.
For example, leather, gold-plated and glass screens were auctioned in a house in Monkstown a few years ago, as was his group of town crier prints.
Classical Greek pillars from the back side of the door in the living room were rescued from the old switch.
\"I put them in my old apartment, but they are more suitable here because we are on the coast and it makes the apartment look like an old seaside villa in Italy.
\"The inhabitants of Boyle will be interesting to see what look he has designed for Logan Nott\'s redesign.
You can be fairly sure that it will include curves, limestone and some interesting lighting.
You can be sure it will be amazing.
